In the EQII launcher under preferences are some additional checkboxes for : City Ecology, Quest NPC's, Combat Voice Overs.

Myself, my mate, and a # of other guild members have spent the hour and a half worth of downloading for the additional content, but now that we have it/them, we havn't been able to figure out what exact differences the extra content makes or has or where/when it comes into play.

So now wondering if theres an answer as to what that content is for or maybe are we missing some additional button/option that has to be on/off for it to work maybe..? (Not exactly making a bug report here, just really wondering what its about so we can be sure to experience it~)

Greetings,

While I don't know what specific sound files are added(I always had the optional downloads enabled), I can give you a basic rundown on what those downloads contain.

City Ecology - This will add to the ambient sound effects I believe. Some zones wont include those sounds unless this download is enabled.

Combat Voiceovers - This provides sound files for enemies that speak during battle. It's somewhat hard to notice if you don't know the language that the mob is speaking, though.

Quest NPCs - This option will cause Quest NPCs to read quest text out loud and it is probably the easiest one to notice. I don't know if it applies to every NPC, but I noticed that it effects the starting areas at least.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
