<p>I'm very happy with a machine I got from stealthmachines.com . Since PC's came out (yeah, I'm that old <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ), I've built my own and upgraded them bit by bit; this is the first time I ever found a fully assembled and tested machine that cost less than I could get the parts for myself. They are built from off-the-shelf items, and you have a lot of good choices. I can play EQ2 at max settings (except in raids, then I have to bump it down a peg or two) with no issues.</p>

<p>Will this let me play on max settings you think?</p><p>If not, what should i change?</p><p><a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/datorlaador/lian-li-lancool-pc-k62--svart--utan-naetdel/6900659/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">Lian Li Lancool PC-K62, Svart, utan nätdel</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/6900659_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/grafikkort/powercolor-radeon-hd5870-1gb-dirt2/5408593/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">PowerColor Radeon HD5870 1GB Dirt2</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/5408593_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/haarddiskar/80gb-2-5--ssd-intel-x25-m-g2-sata--retail/4301293/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">80GB 2.5" SSD Intel X25-M G2 SATA, RETAIL</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/4301293_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/moderkort/gigabyte-ga-p55-ud4/1901730/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/1901730_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/processorer/intel-core-i5-750--2-66ghz/5309950/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">Intel Core i5 750, 2.66GHz</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/5309950_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/naetaggregat/corsair-vx-550w-80plus/6909443/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">Corsair VX 550W 80+</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/6909443_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/internminnen/corsair-4gb--2x2048mb--1600mhz-xms3/5305471/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">Corsair 4GB (2x2048MB) 1600MHz XMS3</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/5305471_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> <a href="https://www.inet.se/datorkomponenter/haarddiskar/1tb-western-digital-caviar-black-sata-ii/4303365/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6861e;">1TB Western Digital Caviar Black SATA II</span></a><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #f6861e;"><img src="https://www.inet.se/images/70x46/4303365_70x46.jpg" border="0" /></span></span> </p><p>Add windows 7 once its released to that.</p>

<p>That computer should be able to run the game at or near max settings.  I assume you plan to use the SSD for your operating system and the hard drive for the game and other files?  It looks like a pretty nice setup.  I have always liked the Lian li case designs as well.</p>

It's not a huge increas ein cost to upograde that to a core i7 rig, and a massive improvement over the i5. i5 is something of a flop for me.

<p>I will use the SSD for operating system and eq2 with it programs for faster loadings. Thats what i´ve been told by other eq2 players i should do <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>I heard that the i5 has done better in tests then the i7 s oi think i stick with that, ty anyway for your opinion Despak.</p><p>TSR-DanielH--- What do you think i should change to make it work better?</p>

<p>Well, i suck at computers, thats why im asking here about what to get. A friend made this setup to me. He tells me that in games i5 is as good as i7 and cheaper, for different program in windows etc. i7 is alittle better, he might be wrong ofcourse.</p><p>I just wanna run eq2 on high settings without lagg.</p><p>I think i go on this one soon</p>

i7 is about 20-30% quicker than the i5.

<p>I'd be interested how fast EQ2 loads/unloads on an SSD - I'm running a 10k Raptor so I'm wondering what speed increase there'd be.</p>

I'd recommend checking it's particular <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-state_drive" target="_blank">Wikipedia article</a> for all the pros and cons it has in comparison to a traditional hard drive.</p>
