I have been using the Beta and the RTM version for the last 6 months at least, no problems runs fine the UAC may be the only issue. But I turn it off myself. Note I two box with two 19" screens using Windows 7 64 bit 4 gig ram duo core 2.66 with ATI HD 3600. also run vent and Outlook 2007 and ACT all at the same time so yep it can run on Windows 7 .

Been using RTM 7600 since it released and 7100 prior, game runs fine. Have UAC turned on and heavy security on the system with group policies in force. Winodws 7 is a enhancement of the core of Windows Vista, so what works on Vista works on Windows 7,

EQ2 with proper planning will run fine on both Windows 7 and Vista with the UAC turned on. Turn off the UAC at your own choosing, just make sure the rest of what ever securit package you run for spyware, anti-virus, malware and firewall still functions correctly, a lot of the newer ones intergrate with the UAC and will function at a reduced level with the UAC off

UAC Stands for User Account Control, its a monitoring program in Vista and windows 7 that warns you when something may make a change to the Operating system, Its a safety feature and does help some users keep spyware off their systems but for some programs and for some users is a pain, it much easer to deal with in windows 7 as compaired to Vista. but as I like full control of my own system and I turn it off. EQ2 is not on its safe list as of this time so you have to do some of the same steps with Windows 7 as in Vista. Run it as a administrator and in some cases turn off the UAC this can be done the 1st time a popup happens in Windows 7 or by running MSCONFIG and using the tools area to turn it off.
