Zoning in and out of ethereal rift I sit at "Waiting for zone server" for 10-15 min before zoning in. Doesnt happen on every zone in, but most (90% or so). Tried everything, seems to be a server or zone issue. Not many people in zone though, not sure. Something with the last update I suppose.

Having the same problem here in CL when trying to zone in. About 50/50 chance of getting in to the zone or getting kicked out of the game.

I would advise bypassing your router and plugging your computer directly into the modem as a first step. If you try that and it corrects your issue then you'll need to configure your router if you wish to continue using it.The following site has great information about router configuration:http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htmSimply select the router you are using, then select the 'skip this advertisement' button in the upper right, and finally select Everquest 2 on the following page. You will then be presented with a walkthrough on how to forward the correct ports. Please respond if you need any further assistance.

Haven't had to configure my router for EQ2 since my last router (circa 2007), but I did it anyway. Still getting the same problem. This only occurs when zoning into the Ethereal Rift zone.

You may want to delete the following files and folders:

cache folder

eq2_recent.ini

eq2_default.ini

EverQuest2.exe

eq2.ini

As well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:

Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini

Stationname_characters.ini

To do this, please follow these directions:

1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the directory in the default directory:

2. Click on MY COMPUTERCRIVEPROGRAM FILESSONYEVERQUEST II

3. Next look for any files explained above and delete them.

4. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.

Seemed to be working at first but after the 6th zone-in, it lagged out again.

So what you are saying here seems to be, only play EQ2 on one machine on your network and everyone else in your house can go pound sand?

I presented the necessary router configuration info to get it working despite that issue. I have not said anything like what you are implying.

TSR; I appreciate your response to this issue, though I feel very strongly this is a SoE issue based on what I have seen, please see below.

Since the last LU my entire raid force has not been able to zone into TOMC. We tried on Friday, Monday, and Wedensday. All 24 members of the raid force have tried multiple times each night and on some of the nights listed it is not the same 24 people.

When trying to zone in it bring sup the status window and never goes past the initial "waiting for zone server" text. After about 5 minutes +/- it kicks you back out to the commonlands. All other zones seem to be ok, though I have personally not tried etherial rift.

For the sake of argument, I did bypass my router and still could not zone in.

Summary

LU hits live

30+ seperate users have been unable to zone into TotMC on three seperate nights despite trying 3-4 times each of those nights.

FYI this is on Antonia Bayle

Did someone /petition customer service?

Antonia Bayle has had some issues since the patch but the other player was reporting a problem from Everfrost. I think the issue he is experiencing was caused by a router but I'm leaning towards a zone server issue in the case you're reporting.

Edit: beat by Rothgar

I will attempt to zone into TotMC again and if it happens still I will petition.
