ProfitUI and Update Sept 23 2009

<p>The new update breaks ProfitUI, well sorta.  Due to changes in the quest journal to add a new feature (achievement tracking ability) using ProfitUI will cause your EQ2 client to crash.  After working with it on the test server and doing a little research here is a simple walk around till someone issues a fix.</p><p>1. Go to your ProfitUI folder (2. Delete the files eq2ui_journals.xml and eq2i_mainhud_achievments.xml and eq2ui_journals_quest.xml and leave the active file alone3. Log into EQ2 and enjoy <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p><p>These does elimate the ability to click on the Wiki, Zam links to quests in the quest journal window but you will still have the ability using the active quest tracking window.</p><p>Hope this helps</p><p>MODIFIED!!</p>

<p>This is great.  Thanks for posting that information.  I assumed there will be a profit update in the near future that will correct this, but the workaround should work for now.</p>

<p>Im having a problem with profit UI and the game update.it seems that my alternate advancement(AA) do not show correctly in the window,shows one circle with a arm in it green background ,and it hovers over the borders,I cant make the AA screeen bigger or resize it.</p><p>I updated profit UI and everything else works fine</p><p>I wonder if it has to do with the back ground skin?</p><p>thanks in advance</p><p>Rek</p>

Like I said not to sure of the use of the file or what will happen if you remove it, but it does say to do it if you have problems</p>

Did not have a issue on mine when I logged on tonight. Might want to move or rename it and not delete it so that if it does not fix the issue you are still safe.</p>

<p>The report from this thread plus some phone contacts I've spoken to do show it being firxed by updating ProfitUI. Which is good - I didn't want to have to remove it at home!</p>
