Having issues here, first i was having a problem with eq2 stopped responding errors AND insane lag spikes, not to mention everything else on my comp was slow and glitchy. After I invited my super intelligent brother over he uninstalled my graphics card drivers and reinstalled them. Everything else seems fine at the moment, however EQ2 still crashed twice after. So he tried several other "fixes" including updating my direct x, checking my memory and compatability with my machine, even going as far as setting my pc to performance and messing with virtual memory and multicore support ect ect. Nothing seems to be working and he has thrown in the towel. Latest error (also totally different from the others) is this:

<verify>e:liveeq2srcdirectx9renderdevice.cpp(13372):009a8c 05 008c6518

This as well as what looks like my cpu2 "flat lining" at 100% in task manager. Everytime it spikes low i get a massive lag spike about 15 secs long several times a minute. Sorry I cannot be much more help but niether of us are tech saavy. Here is what I do know:

CPU-AMD Athlon 64x2

OS-windows xp SP3

Memory-3 gigs

If any other info that can be helpful please let me know, but please let me know w=how to get that info because im kinda lost.

The DX9 render device error you're seeing relates to the graphics card. It could be one of several things, but have you checked for a possible heat issue? If you have any kind of heat monitoring software then I would advise checking the temperatures when the game is running and when the system is idle. If you don't have heat monitoring software then you can simply open the case, point a large fan at the graphics card, and see if it helps with the situation. Please make sure that you do not touch anything inside the computer. Touching components in the computer can lead to electrocution or computer damage.

Also, please respond with some additional information if the problem persists after trying the above. Specifically I am looking for the first section of your DXdiag. You can find information about how to generate that here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=353617
