This afternoon, I was grouped up with a friend who started doing some Q&A on which Deity would be best for certain alts. Because of the way my brain 'works' it got me thinking... we know alot about the various Deities, but what do we know about thier prophets? I know some have interesting back stories, Thule's being the only one that sticks out in my mind... but... does anyone know which, if any of the other prophets have a background?

I wrote down the list of Deites/Prophets...

Ashanti Sul - Plumetor Dul'SadmaBertoxxulous - Hrath EverstillBrell - Brunlor StormhammerBristlebane - Tobel PatadashCazic Thule - Danak DhorentathInnorouk - Xilania NevagonKarana - AskrMithaniel Marr - Bayden CauldthornQuellillious - Sensei ShodaRallos Zek - Tychus ZekswornRodect Nife - Prophet Bainyn FairwindSolosk Ro - Civean Ii'PernodTribunal - Justinian TheoTunare - Eva Corunno'thres

Like I said, just curious if there is any story on any of them...

Side Note: Which of these guys created the Goblins? Thought it was Zek, but then one says Bristlebane is his creator then I'd have sworn I heard another say Brell...

Thanks

Well, Askr is in the Bastion of Thunder in EQ1's Planes of Power expansion, so there is some back story to him though I admittedly don't know it.

He was washed up onto the shores of the Plane of Storms, where Karana found him and befriended him. He has pretty much been the prophet and champion of Karana for hundreds of years now.

I dont remember where Eva came from, specifically, in EQives storylines, but Brunlor and Danak are characters both directly related to the storylines involving Firiona Vie.

Most of the other characters dont have any background, and probably never will have any explained.

Also: It was Bolgin Serilis who created the goblins. He is a black-sheep brother to Brell. He holds no official title in the pantheon.

The only one I truly remembered from eqlive was Danak, especially from the gm events back when they used to do them. I still think it is something of a shame to this day that neither he nor Firiona were ever, even in eqlive given a unique appearance that resembled Keith Parkinson's drawing.

I've got an alt that's just about to start working on the Karana line. I'll get the dialog but i remember doing it the first time, Askr was depressed for some reason that escapes me now.

Let's see...

-Bronlor Stormhammer: not in the previous game, but is the nephew of King Kazon Stormhammer, who was in EQlive, and is mentioned in EQ2

-Danak Dhorentath: the Iksar shaman that was all tied up in the Firiona Vie story

-Xilania Nevagon: I think she used to be the head of the Dismal Rage in EQ2, before becoming a prophet

-Askr: was part of the Plane of Storms storyline in EQlive. Was also the Avatar of Storms in the Tome of Destiny story

-Bayden Cauldthorn: well... he was the human fighter in the CG cinematic that EQ2 launched with

-Makoto Shoda: he is/was/is the head of the monks in Qeynos, and used to give the quest to progress from Brawler to Monk.

-Eva Corunno'thres: was evidently present in EQlive, but I could never find out where.

Plumetor Sul'Dadma had a role in the void tempest storms and murdered the previous Prophet for Rodcet Nife, Seeress Ealaynya. Seeing as how she's human, and Anashti Sul was not known during the Age of Turmoil, there is no further lore on her.

Tychus Zeksworn used to give the Fighter class quests in Freeport. He ran into some trouble when he killed his superior officer by beating him to death with his own helmet.

Bronlor is a new to EQ2, but his family line is the stuff of kings.

Eva Corunno'thes is a mystery... though her name is an anagram that gives a hint to her background.

One of the developers once mentioned that 3 or 4 of the prophets are pre-existing characters from EQlive. He listed Bronlor as one of them. He was part of Firiona Vie's group or something.

Yes, that's it. I guess I am mistaken. I thought Bronlor was a returning character. Well, whatever. /shrug

He had failed his master somehow, and he was not certain that he could ever right the wrong he could not define.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/...html?quest=2920

Having still in his possession the Lifeguide, a powerful artifact rumored to have been given to Firiona Vie by Tunare herself, this Iksar fanatic and one of his henchmen lackeys, a Teir'Dal wizard named Vahlai Ka Izal, have apparently employed the aid of Tserrina Syl Tor. A most mysterious and quite ancient being who inhabits the Tower of Frozen Shadow, Tserrina is known to hold quite a collection of souls -- namely those pitiable unfortunates who fell when the Erudin loyals so ingeniously created what is now known as The Hole. We believe that it is her specific knowledge of the immortal spirit that Danak has sought to employ to his cause. A most marvelous decision, if we do say so. It appears that those who have been at a rather dull stalemate for these past months have finally achieved a bit of intelligence in seeking outside aid -- for it is most apparent that they simply cannot handle their own battles. The exact intentions of Danak Dhorentath and Vahlai are unknown, though I am sure that such information will become rather public in the weeks to come.
