Graphics card question

<p>Building a new rig and from what i'm seeing I might be aiming for the new ati card 5870.  However I need to know what would suit be better the 5870 or the 5870x2.  Need a card that can do high end gaming and allow me to do 3D model design along with 3D level design. </p>
