Hi, we recently reformatted one of our computers and the guy that did it put a beta version of windows 7 on it because we couldn't find the windows XP disc we had.

When I went to the EQ2 website and clicked on "reinstall eq2" it downloaded within a minute, then I opened it up and the installer went quickly, then when i tried to open the game it said it couldn't find the images and couldn't open. It's like it just won't download the game or something and I don't know much about computers so I'm really confused.

Any help would be awesome,

Thanks!

Greetings,

This sounds like the standard Vista/Win7 download issue. Please go through these steps if you haven't already:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

Let us know if you are still unable to launch the game after those steps.

Any tricks and work arounds that where used to resolve issues on Windows Vista can be used to on Windows 7.
