Ok every time I log in to a new character it takes a long time to load. Everything is fine then it stumbles for around 10-15 seconds. Finally it gives the "voice chat error 10035" then loading starts again as normal. This has happened since I changed from Vista 64 to 7 64(didn't do fresh reinstall of EQ2) . It doesn't happen on zoning, only when a new character has been selected.

Oddly once I have actually zoned in, the game and even voice works fine. I have tried the Vivox website as I thought they may have a list of problem codes and what the possible problem is. Am I best off emailing them direct or does anyone know what this code refers to please?

Do you still get this same error if you have voice chat completely disabled? I imagine the error message will go away, but I'm specifically interested in whether or not he long loading times will persist.

Based on your description so far, it sounds like it might be a router issue. Are you using a router, and if so have you tried bypassing it? If not, you may want to do so and see if the problem persists.

Hey thanks for advice, it is now sorted. I did restart my router but to no avail in the past. When I totally removed it the voice error had gone. I have just reset everything to factory setting and restarted modem and router and all now appears fine. Thanks alot

Aye, spoke too soon. I mean it maybe an issue with the router but is there something i can do? Is it possible to actually find out what this 10035 refers to please? This was ok when running Vista so its not as if there is anything wrong with the router per se. It maybe that an old installation of EQ2 doesnt like a new installation of windows 7?

You would have thought that Vivox would have a list of fault codes for us to at least give us an indication at what is going wrong.

That error code means that the SIP traffic is not being handled correctly. Oftentimes if you update your router firmware, there will be fixes that address this issue. IF that doesn't help, check your router configuration for SIP ALG, and turn it off. Make sure ports 5060, 5062 are open.
