In SF we are all expecting to go toe to toe with Theer I'm going out on a ledge here and thinking we will have some backup from the group that originally started the fight against the void. It simply wouldn't make sense for thier roles in the story to end so abruptly.

Another obvious source of backup I am guessing we might see is direct support for the Gods themselves. Afterall they made it a point to banish this sob I'm sure they either want to keep him where he is or try and nuetralize him and will help whoever they have to in order to get the job done.

Comments?

While a whole series of deity quests to provide superior weapons to fight Theer with would be grand...I think its more work than the dev team would want to put in to this. There is a strong possability that Mayong Mistmoor will be involved indirectly (i.e. support, guidence, and manipulation). Veniril, D'Leer, Antonica might all get involved through represenatives too. Well, I guess technically a lot of us are considered represenatives of Freeport and Qeynos already. I just can't imagine that any diety will get directly involved. After all, Theer can kill them. Why risk it all when you have adventurers that can do it for you?

It would be nice to see a new version of Zeb pop up to help us out. Not with the actual fighting, but with lots and lots of Lore revealing quests.

Can we even be so certain that we'll be fighting Theer in Sentinal's Fate?

In a recent Dev chat, they clearly stated that the Void storyline will be ending in 2009. 9, not 10, which is when SF will be released.

However there are several videos floating around showing a strong void force in at least one of the instances / dungeons of Odus, so we are 100% on the presence of the void in SF. I hope we neutralize Theer I don't know if I could wait for the expansion after SF to be done with him.

Maybe no one told that dev the expac got moved to Feb?

Which means 2010.

Why does Theer have to be an enemy?

His story arc indicates he was to be the one who maintains the balance so that no one diety rises above another.

Naturally all dieties would be mega peeved and so they go lock him in a cupboard hoping to never see him again.

What if our job simply became to release him? Bring him back to the mortal realm. so many story opportunities here involving so many of norraths personalities. The dietuies themselves, Mayong, Zebuxxoruk, Trak (in eq1 he was one of the 2 great prophets... dunno what happened there).... simply so much that can be done to build a massive story on that premise.

It is true. Theer was made the avatar of the Nameless to maintain the balance of power among the Norrathian Pantheon. The gods were afraid that he'll interfere in their ambitions and that he has the ability to remove any of them from their "seat" of power. So naturally they ... ambushed, so to speak ... him and locked him in the Void.

But that was a long time ago.

Many things had happened since then. Who to say he'll be stable and sane when he made his return to Norrath? Even if that. Anyway, I don't think Theer should be considered to be part of the Void - he was a prisoner in that dimension in the first place - so naturally he amassed a force there so he can make a bid for his freedom.

So Sentinel's Fate may not be the end of Theer, but simply the end of the presence of the Void on Norrath for the most part.

I suppose the question should be: Will Theer be making his return or not? Then it'll be clearer how future storylines will process. He was one of those characters whose name kept appearing over the last 5 years and I'll be surprised if his story just ends with Sentinel's Fate.

Likely before most of the races on Norrath were created. Some of the dieties seem much more powerful than the others. A lot of that has to do with the manipulation of the various races on Norrath. Most of the demi-gods are ex-mortals raised to servant diety status. I believe the gods of influence receive most of their power base from the beings on Norrath and my actually rival the elemental dieties simply because of the sheer number of beings and how powerful they (adventurers) have become.

In other words, I don't think Theer would be happy with us adventurers. We could be the unballancing factor on Norrath and we could be considered a threat by Theer. Thus, Theer might go on a purge not of dieties, but of the races created in his absence.

Also there are a few absurdly powerful gods out there now. The diety of magic for one. The Greenmist might get eliminated as an anomoly. I have a feeling Inny might be more powerful than he was intended to be, maybe not in direct conflict but through the influence he has exerted in messing with the rest of the pathenon. Theer might just decide to kill off the entire existing pathenon and replace them just to make sure they don't get the idea to trap him again and re-ballance the system. Veniril and Lucin D'Leer might actually get their wishes at Theer's hands. Zeb for the new god of Tranquility?

I can guarantee we will be seeing Theer in SF. His model has already been patched into the test client and is labelled exp06. Actually, to be honest, there are 2 models of Theer... a good and an evil version. Take that for what its worth.

Would you mind post some of those here just like what you did last time?

I just can't wait to know those new infos for the next expacs or updates.
