Implement pve- pvp transfers!

Well they said the race change wouldn't ever be implemented for technical reasons. But $tation Ca$h can even beat the "technical reasons" <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I think they are just afraid that it may backfire with: - bluebies crying to get back to their home server for free/get reimbursed, after getting owned. - pvpers crying after they got owned by bluebies in top endgame gear. Pretty sure they see it as a "not worth the effort" case.

<p>I think it's just a mental block some pve'rs have whenever they see any thing related to pvp. They probably feel like "Ew, another pvp thread, must be filled with QQ," when they really are just jumping to the conclusion before really thinking it out through the complaining and whining. =/</p><p> So saying that, I really give my vote to this idea as well so they can open their eyes a bit more =)</p>

If it helps deciding them, they may put some restrictions, like for instance the requirement to have already one toon at the level cap on target server and on the same account. This would ensure those who transfer already have a clue what they are getting in, and would let those of us with old pve alts transfer them.

Hell, let them even to a /pvpcopy so if they truely do not like it they have, say a few months or so to try it out.</p><p>Even if you get the best guillds in pve to transfer to PvP, <strong>with </strong>all of their gear, it feel it would still be desireable.</p><p>Make it a one week deal, to prevent people from jumping on PvE servers now to level and  gear up characters uncontested then switching.</p><p>I feel this is something SoE should really think about and look into. I really think more than you expect would transfer over.</p><p>This is assuming of course SoE has an interest in keeping healthy populations on PvP servers.</p><p>Edit: Hell, I bet you could even charge money for something like this. <p>By can't be done. It can mean that can't do it at this time or under the current code. Certainly almost anything can be done. The question is how much will it take to do.They could add in the bstlrd, they could allow any class respec into any class, they could allow you to have all 9 crafters on 1 toon, they could make eq2 work with dx11/12, they could rework the entire game to work on hexacores and tri-sli, but it would require alot of reworking the code.</p><p>Even the racial respec is obviously taking a whole lot of time to recode since there has been someone working on it since fanfaire.</p>

Care to elaborate? Instead of a half-[Removed for Content] response like that, which just causes the subject to be brought up over and over as clearly annoying as it is, how about some explaination as to why there are no intentions?</p><p>A small amount of meaningful information can go a long way. Just think, the forums could go 5 months without it being brought up again!</p>

<p>With the lack of pvp on my server and the date being pushed back.  I would pay to just transfer all my toons from pvp to pve if they allowed it.  Think of the money they woudl get from me with all my slots being full. </p><p>I don't understand why they wont allow pvp to pve or the other way around as you all want.  Some of us just get to lazy to start over.  Others like me have full slots so short of buying a new game, I either stay on pvp or cancel.  Canceling is not something I'm willing to do so I stay for now.</p>

Existing on the same server doing battle against each other and 2. The exploit where people transferred off a PVP server to a PVE server with the character transfer token in the battlegrounds.</p><p>You lie to us and now you deny us this? <p>Until the devs get off their rear, and fix the items that are broke only on pvp servers, this never needs to happen, because if they do, it will be the end of pvp servers, because so many people are tired of the BS run around as to why so many things are broken only for us, that alot more people will be leaving and will continue to leave pvp, than we could hope to sustain or hope to replenish.</p>

<p>I recently inquired about transfers and this is the responce i got:</p><p><span ><span style="color: #ffffff;"> </span></span></p><p>"Hi there.  First off, no one said that its not possible to transfer off.  Statements from the devs get twisted and warped all the time to mean completely different things.  You know how easy it is to read things out of context.  Technically it has always been possible and still is possible, but our policies kept us from doing it because the servers are very different in terms of difficulty leveling up, etc.</p><p>We may one day consider changing this policy and we have talked about it recently, but we don't have any new plans at the moment. "</p><p>I pointed out its obviously much more dificult to level on PVP servers and since all servers now have access to the same items why not just allow me to transfer from pvp > pve one way and got this.</p><p>"Until there is a policy change, we cannot make an exception for a single player.  I'm sure you can understand why."</p><p>So the question is what or why isnt there a policy change.  We have had game changing alterations to the pvp servers and the introduction of the battle grounds now gives every one the opertunity to experiance some sort of pvp.  With the direction that the PVP servers have taken they have all but made raiding irrelivant and maintaining a raid force full of competant players capable of executing the hardest content is all but impossible.</p><p>I have no issues with the PVP server being a PVP priority based place for people that dont want to get into the raiding scene.  But, thats not how it started.  It was once a place where if you wanted an advantage in PVP you would have to raid to get the items.  Those days are gone.  Now if you want the best gear all you have to do is make a low level leacher and mass the tokens.  Transfer them to the toon you want and boom you have a set of the best gear availible. </p><p>Some of us really enjoy raiding with a side of pvp.  Its fun to have truely contested content.  We used to be able to fill raiding rosters with people that wanted the gear from the pve content.  This allowed a thriving community of multiple raiding guilds pushing thru content.  Now those people we used for fillers (people who only raided to get the gear) are gone.  They simply take there pvp hand outs and go on about there business.</p><p>Im not saying I disagree or people should be forced to raid.  I understand that commiting to a raiding guild takes alot of time and sacrifise that not every one has or even is willing to do.  Logging on and taking your 30-45 min dose of pvp then going on with your real life is fine. </p><p>But, dont start us with a server and a set of rules that allows us to raid and encourages it, then do a complete 180 and discourage raiding with out leaving us an option.  I still enjoy the game.  I like to spend my free time playing it.  But I enjoy raiding.  Allow us the opertunity to leave nagafen and persue more people with the same intrests.  Even if its a 1 way pass and once you leave you can never go back.  Its still an option.</p>
