Like the title says, I'm a Rper first and foremost.

I'm pretty new to EQ2 (though I've been an EQ player for almost 9 years), so I'm hoping for some advice from the Bruiser professionals out there.

Here's my problem: I love the Bruiser class, but just can't get as into the Monk for RPing. However, I want to Rp as a Barbarian of neutral - good(ish) alignment on the Antonia Bayle server. I know on the PvP servers you can betray to good and keep the class, but I have no desire to be on any server other than AB.

What's the best path on a PvE server to accomplish making a Barbarian Bruiser technically neutral or even good-aligned without going Monk?

Please keep in mind I'm fairly new to the whole process of Exile and Betrayal. If possible, list starting cities and options and paths I can take. Thank you all tremendously for the help!

EQ2 doesn't support what you're asking for. About the only option you can do is to exile yourself, which will result in no access to shared bank vault.

That's what I was afraid of.

Oh well, Freeport it is.. I love the Lore on either of the two original starting cities, regardless of alignment.

I wish I liked the feel of the Monk even 1/2 as much as the Bruiser, but I don't. I'm not willing to take on the more eastern martial arts theme of that class over the sheer brutal onslaught of the Bruiser. So.. I'll figure something out in RP.

In the meantime, I *love* this class. Outside of the Bear Shaman of Vanguard, it's hands down my favorite in any game so far. Gonna have to be pretty [Removed for Content] exceptional to rival that Shaman, mind you - those guys are just [Removed for Content] cool.

Thanks for the response!

You could betray to Gorowyn. Sarnak are classed as an 'evil' race, but they're far more welcoming than Freeportians. There's kind of a grey area with the Sarnaks (in my opinion). Then, choose a neutral deity. Solusek Ro, while not as desired as Rallos for a Bruiser, is neutral and has ok buffs - you have a number of heat based attacks that will benefit.

That won't get you what you're looking for, but you will have done perhaps all you can within the confines of the game to become a neutral Bruiser. How you conduct yourself (as a neutral Bruiser) with other players will get you the rest of the way.

You could also go to Haven, that is so much inbetween that both sides will hate you just the same

Ofc there are some downsides to being Haven citizen, but if you rp you should not care to much about that imo..

Freeports fine for roleplaying purposes. Its Just a city. Its full of Jerks but that doesnt mean you have to be one. Course Qeynos and other "Good" NPCs are going to look down on you, but so what. Unless theyre packing a x2 or more after their name it dont matter. I used to consider moving to get out from under the thumb of a "Ruthless Tyrent" until I realized...Nobody was telling me what to do.

Freeport doesnt change, no matter who thinks theyre in charge. Sure the Overlord has a really cool house in the sky...and he better darn well stay there cause if he ever leaves, there will be a crowd waiting to kick his butt.

Freeports a great city. No one sticks their nose into your buisiness without getting their big noses punched in.

Freeport is the only truely free city on Norrath. You just have to use your head...or lose it.*

*Paid for by the Freeport Tourist Authority.

Go to Nagafen Server... its PVP but you can role play all you want there... its not like its restricted...

You can make a good aligned bruiser whatever class you want...

You want a good Ogre bruiser, make it in freeport and exile over to Qeynos and make it an Ogre bruiser there.

You want a good Fae bruiser, make a Fae monk in Qeynos, betray to Exile and betray back to Qeynos as a Fae Bruiser...

You want an evil fae Templar, that can be done too...

Good Sarnak Bruiser (I got one), you can do that too

You can do that on PVP servers...
