I went:

1

STR: 4/8/8/2/1(cost 2)

AGI: 4/4/8

STA: 4/4/6

INT: 4/4/7

I'd drop down to about 12565 HP if I took them out..And does the AoE attack help much with aggro?... And I don't mind only 61% from the int line, since T3 armor gives a bit of spell crit.

I generally run as a group instance tank, only raiding when the target can be killed with one group like the skellies in PR and the WoE x2 zone. I have two specs for my AA mirror.

One is the DPS spec above (STR/AGI/STA/INT), but I find myself rarely running with it. The AoE Trample ends up being counter-productive against difficult multiple-mob encounters when our coercer is trying to do crowd-control. If the encounter is single-target, or easy multiple-mob, I find our other tools suffice.

The other is STA/WIS/INT (health and survivability at the expense of DPS). Fearless Morale is expensive to get to, as the Wisdom line is filled with uninteresting stuff, but I have found it very useful to remain permanently immune to being feared. Divine Aura is helpful as a backup to Shadowknight's Furor, and works against attacks where parry isn't possible.

Despite the unpopularity of this type of spec for most SKs, I miss it when I don't have it. I don't like getting feared and running away from the group, or worrying about crouching/walking and then trying to adjust to shifting combat. I don't like having an empty DA icon when our healer calls for it.

It will be a bit easier when we have portable AA mirrors, and can switch within an instance as needed.

when i played guardian i loved mezzers on sk its pointless -pull the room and aoe them to death u will find trample very usefull there. Try to go to easier instances like Najena w/o healer with full dps grp this is fun stuff.

Since getting Aura of the Crusader (TSO line, need 131AA I think) I have never gone back to WIS line. You can also buy the Freedom of Mind/Action potions that help a load. And there's gear like the chain (shadow rage?) leggings with a fear immunity proc.

I suspect many SKs will have one DA build and a Trample build and switch between them. The biggest issue I find with Trample is getting the mobs in front of you close enough for Trample to hit - they have to be in melee range, which is actually pretty close - there's a lot of stun/root type effects that mean mobs aren't quite close enough for you to get the full benefit, even once you've learnt how to 'scoop' a group of 4 mobs in front of you.

The other aspect of DA vs Trample is HP - you lose 4% HP and some melee crit too. Nothing substantial though.

I personally run

Str: 4, 8, 8, 2, 2*

Int: 4, 4, 8

sta: 4, 4, 8

agi: 4, 4, 5

This gives me 25% trample and still lets me keep all the crit. I had been toying with swapping int and agi but i am not sure i have the gear to make up the loss of spell crit just yet especially against orange mobs.

Depending on gear and group setup, you'll probably be able to drop a point or two off INT and thus drop some innate spell crit (while keeping it 100% or more) for some extra melee crit, while keeping 40% trample.
