I have been testing the load / save layout for houses and have found a potential problem. This is what I did...

I have 3 objects all of the same type (Mirrors)

Placing Mirror 1 one in the house I saved the layout file, I then returned mirror 1 to my inventory.

Next I placed two more mirrors (Mirrors 2 and 3) in different places on another wall and then restored the layout file. The layout file seems to select a mirror for movement based on ID, this presents a potential problem when adding a new layout in to an existing furnished house.

It would be more conveinent if the system selected the last object of the required class placed in the house (or an object present in the moving crate). This will allow someone to place objects into a house (or crate) knowing that these ones will be moved by the layout file rather than any existing objects already in their house. If the system selects objects based on their ID then parts of their existing house layouts may be altered in preference to using the new objects intended for movement by the layout file.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.

Thank you for your time

Mistal

Mistal
