shadow odyssey reinstall? please help thanks

<p>I recently bought a laptop for gaming and i bought the Shadow odyssey expansion and i am a former player on my moms computer but on this one i put only the shadow odyssey cd downloaded it and when i started the launchpad it said i need to go to a site and download another launchpad and reinstall it but why would i have to do that cant i just let it start up and update im just wondering why i aprecciate any info</p>
