<p>I had the same problem.  I found another post regarding profit UI that recomended disabling/deleting the "eq2ui_journals_quest.xml" file.  I use a custom UI of my own creation (and a few mix and match pieces), and doing that let me right in.  When you get in game and bring up the new quest journal, it makes a lot of sense why it needs a new version.</p>
