<p>I have tried a number of times to log in this morning. I tried rebooting, removing my custom UI, file scan, and I keep crashing to desktop immediately after character screen with a client error. <p>I crash as well but i acctualy get partway logged in with my test toon.</p>

<p>dont foget to change or delete eq2.ini too</p>

<p>i deleted all my test ini files including "recent.ini" and i think deafult.ini too, and i totaly clered out everythign that didnt say default in the ui folder</p>

<p>Renaming my eq2.ini in the Testserver directory to eq2old.ini fixed it!</p>

<p>There seems to be quite a compatibility issue with (perhaps) custom UIs in this update. I got the same error and I use ProfitUI. I also got blue-screened while downloading the updates. This has never happened to me on this computer before - the one I play on is a very "clean" computer - just the minimal programs + EQ2.</p>

<p>Yes, I deleted the quest journal file in Profit and got right in.  I also ended up deleting the achievements mod because for some reason it was only showing one item on the fury and shadows trees.</p>

<p>Ok.. I had the same problem.. When I went to look for eq2.ini to change it, it wasn't there!  Apparently the patcher just didn't include it when updating, nor were any of the other .ini's there - eq2_default and eq2_recent.  I copied all three from the main (live) eq2 directory, reran the patcher, and I'm in.  Prior to this I also stripped all custom ui files.  Now I guess I'll try installing Profit.</p><p>Hope this helps someone..</p>

Any ideas?</p></blockquote><p>if you edit eq2.ini then either remove the whole line including your custom ui or change the name to Default.</p><p>deleting/renaming eq2.ini has the same result</p>
