I am wondering the effect of weapon speed on triggering Tribal Rage. Just reading the description it would seem like the faster the weapon the more this would trigger. I know, however, that these kind of triggers are usually normalized to some standardized weapon speed. One of the triggers though is "when target is damaged" -- not sure how that would be normalized.

Obviously we want slow weapon for our 100% MC so I am hoping that the trigger is normalized somehow. Anyone know?

Weapon speed would have no effect on this proc because the only thing that causes it to trigger is the Mystic casting beneficial spells. This goes for each target the beneficial spell hits to so you have more chance see it proc off casting group spells.

Once it has triggered, the entire group receives 8% Ranged DA and 15% Melee DA (4% and 7% for Epic version) for as long as the buff is active.

Nothing the rest of the group does can cause this to trigger, only the mystic can casting beneficial spells.

I don't think you two are talking about the same thing. It appears the OP is referring to the Tribal Rage from the Shaman agility line, whereas Maelstrom64 seems to be speaking of the Tribal Rage proc from the mystic epic weapon.

Mr. Rollerdog, it does seem as if the AA Tribal Rage should proc more from a faster weapon but I have not tested it myself. However, it ought to be easy to check on a training dummy.

Quite right.. that was my bad, these 2 effects unfortunately have exactly the same name.

Ykiphia1 is quite right in saying weapon speed would cause the portion that requires a successful melee attack to trigger more often and the added attack speed it provides would increase the chance it refreshes if it did not expire completely.

I haven't got the ability yet so I can't really test it. I still am doubtful that this ability is not normalized somehow to weapon speed, since it happens in so many other cases. Although it would be neat if it did since you would then be torn between slow weapon for crits and fast weapon for Tribal Rage.

PS; Thanks for the "Mr." -- I had never seen "Mr." and "Rollerdog" used together before.

Mr. RollerDog, , I have never done any formal testing with Tribal Rage but I have observed that it procs very regularly when I am out solo or duoing. My weapon's normal delay is 8 seconds but 5.5 with gear and buffs seems to be plenty fast for a great deal of double attack procage. It really is a fantastic attribute to have.

if you have Ancestry on yourself it will almost always be up. I use 4 delay weapons and when I have that spec its practically a constant buff once i get 5 - 10 seconds into the fight. keep in mind once it procs it is easier to keep it proccing as you are now hitting faster.
