Cannot Stay connected

<p>Hello and thanks for reading my post.</p><p>I've recently decided to play EQ2 (last night) and I have been loving the game so far. However, under seemingly specific conditions I can lose connection to the server and get booted back to the character select screen. This happens usualy when I am messing with the UI windows, such as changing the settings for the chat window and it also happens from time to time when I am "gathering". The game world simply freezes up for a couple of seconds and I am back at the character select screen. Sometimes when I am there I get a "connection lost" message and I get sent back to my desktop.</p><p>I am hardconnected to a router which is in turn connected the cable modem. I was reading the sticky reguarding which ports are used and I even managed to get into my router's settings page but beyond that I was useless. Prior to that I had unplugged both the modem and router, then after 30 seconds I plugged in the modem and waited for all the lights to come on. After that I plugged in the router but it didnt seem to help much.</p><p>I really want to play more but getting bounced out all the time is getting frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p><p>Thanks!</p>

Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p><p>Thanks!</p></blockquote><p>Greetings,</p><p>Have you tried plugging your computer directly into the modem, bypassing the router?  That will tell us whether or not it is an issue with the router.  If you're able to connect at that point then we'll need to get that router set up to work with the game.</p>

Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p><p>Thanks!</p></blockquote><p>I am having similar problems, ever since patch,  I  have a moden the cable company provided and a 1TB apple Wifi base station that this computer is hard wired into.  Nothing has changed on my end.  I keep going LD about every 2-5 minutes when moving around or doing anything, killing stuff, harvesting, talking to NPC etc.</p><p> Noticed that when i do go LD, i am loosing 16 ish packets.  and i only go LD when it gets busy, if i am alone in my room or out in the open with little network traffic im fine.</p>
