Crashing upon logging in new character to TD

<p>I had logged into Timorous Deep earlier with a character before deleting him, but whenever I try to log into a new character I created today, when trying to load TD it crashes.  What information would be relelvant to help?</p><p>EDIT:  Logging into the character directly from the patcher worked.  Wierd.</p>
