So, this seems to be the place to share the art, right? I've not posted here before, so if I do it wrong please let me know. Mostly I do freehand pen and ink (or sometimes brush and ink) line art, which I then scan in and clean up (a bit) in Photoshop, mostly just to remove smudges and such. Here are some illustrations I've recently done for friends:

Currently I'm working on a website that's going to be a sort of breast cancer resource at CancerVacation.com, but if you visit the "Starving Artist" section there I have some coloring book pages and bookmarks that can be printed out for free. I'm hoping to eventually work back up to taking commissions and doing more freelance illustration, but chemo has pretty much butchered my arm and my health is somewhat unpredictable, so for now I've mostly been drawing things for friends and doing the other art projects as I can.

Interesting like "those are 'interesting' pants" or "that's an 'interesting' haircut"? *chuckle*

I love your style, and i checked out your site and was inspired. cancer runs in my family like wild fire and i have ALOT of breast cancer on both sides of my family. So your site and your cause really struck a chord with me. I'll be passing on your website to some family members who could use a smile. Your work is lovely..keep it up! i wanna see more bookmarks! something with a fairy on it! (i LOVE fairy's!) and i love reading...the one im using is getting sorta tattered. i'll print yours out and color it.

Even at the age of 29 now, i still love coloring, a piece of my childhood i just can't seem to get out of. it's relaxing! and yes i have my very own big box of Crayloa crayons with a crayon sharpener in the box and im not ashamed to admit it!

once i get my printer fixed i might just print out some of your work for coloring pleasure! oh ya and a fairy bookmark /wink

Well, bookmarks are on today's agenda, so maybe a fairy one will be next. *grin*

I actually have a fairy coloring book page planned as well and it's already sketched, just not inked.

I'm glad you like how the site is turning out... I'm trying to keep it a balance between a personal page and a resource, which is kind of tough, and I'm on a *lot* of drugs so updating everything is slow going and unpredictable. Like, I waited all month for the mushroom rings but now I can't sit over here long enough to do them because my back is killing me, so it's going to be bookmarks on the sofa instead. *shrug*

I'm going to be resizing the bookmarks, by the way, for cheap lamination... apparently the most affordable size of clear packing tape is just *under* two inches wide, hehe.

Shhh... people are going to think that I quest and roleplay now, instead of just craft. =P

Ah, you would make an awesume tattoo artist. When I get a bit more flush I might have to have you draw me up a dark elf or two for just that purpose. Dont worry too much about the cancer, my mom's a 32 year survivor(3rd stage chemo n' all that lovely stuff), you can beat it. She's also an artist, so maybe that works in your favor.

Brilliant artwork! It's great to hear that you still do what you can despite the cancer. That's the spirit it takes to overcome!
