With AB (and others) going down again.

I have two questions:

1. Is SoE going to add 1 day to the subscription accounts for all these affected servers?

UPDATE player_account SET subscription_days = (SELECT subscription_days FROM player_account WHERE account_number = [number] ) + 1 WHERE server_name = "Antonia_Bayle"

2. Or are your customers going to foot the bill for your lousy DB admins/servers?

They are working as quickly and as well as they can... Though, it is interesting that you make assumptions on how their database and overall system works. d: And why you posted that tidbit? I have a feeling that they know how to add subscription amounts to our accounts by now...

Be patient. And respectful. It's not like they're doing this on purpose.

[EDIT: Not sure why I quoted. Dumb blonde moment!]

I am just amused when someone comes along, not you specifically, it has happened before, posting some code like that makes a point. d: I have worked with MySQL myself for about 8 years, so yes I know what you're talking about and yes I know, obviously something happened... You don't have to know much of anything about databases to know -something- happened, really. However, what that something was is obviously hard to track down...

The part that probably came across as trolling was my slight irritation at the amount of new threads people are starting like it'll make a difference. They know about the problem. They're working on it. *nod*

Do we know an update or hotfix caused this? Where did that come from?

[EDIT: didn't finish a sentence. *lol*]

Greetings,

Generally speaking, we do not provide compensation for service downtime. That said, if you feel this is a special case that requires game time compensation then I would advise contacting our support line through phone, e-mail, or chat. By contacting us directly we can discuss the situation and see if there's anything we can do to help you.

Also, please try to avoid any personal attacks in the forums. That isn't helpful no matter what side you are taking.
