I'm going to admit that this may not appear to be the best place for this question, however, I can't even figure out how to word this question in order to get results in Google.

My wife's computer is an AMD Dual Core processor, pretty new and darn fast. I generally play on her old computer, which is an Intel Pentium 3. something.

Generally her playing is great. It's not a crashing or zoning problem or whatnot.

What her problem has to do with (as you might guess from the title of this topic) is the zone reuse timers. Often she can't reset her timer.

To fix this, she can go to the other computer and log in, and reset her timers there. No problem whatsoever.

She also has problems with her research assistant; it says it's going to take X time to finish the book, but in the window where the books are picked, it has Y. Completely different numbers.

She thinks it's a ui problem but I can confirm it's a problem with the default ui, with random pieces from eq2interface, and with the ProfitUI installed. She admits that it's probably not a UI problem and then suggests it might be a problem with the way she logs into the game (sony launcher on the AMD one, the one where zone timers get stuck, a shortcut to everquest.exe on the older one).

Any suggestions on how to find a solution would be helpful. Whether you have a "oh install the amd dual core optimizer software" or you have a "she's [Removed for Content], make her play on the old one," I'll take it. Or even a "try googling foo"..

Thanks!
