<p>It's not just named that show if they give AA.  It's any mob which can give AA.</p><p>I was running thru Pillars of Flame on my Swash to the djinns to grind up the Djinn L&L and get the language when I noticed two giants which were unnamed but had stars.</p><p>I've run into some mobs now and then who are unnamed but gave AA over the past year or so.  Nice to be able to see them now.</p><p>What's kinda funny is now NPCs who are unattackable show a star.  Reminds me of the canary in the cage while the cat sits outside frustrated.  <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

And i do have that star. It's easy to miss though. It doesn't show on the mob's tag. It just shows on your target info section, right next to the name. It won't show once a mob has already given AA and no longer will for subsequent kills however.</p>
