Greetings,

When you say 'no new changes' are you including driver/windows updates? Some of the newer nvidia drivers have been experiencing issues with the game and that might be part of the problem here.

No - I haven't done anything. If Windows did an automatic update I'm not aware of it. I'm running Vista 64. Now, after I started having the freeze problem I updated the driver to my BFG Tech GTX 295 video card to see if that would help the problem but it has no affect.

I did a system restore to last Friday mid-day and each time I log in I run around for maybe 1 minute and FREEZE. NO IDEA why. Tried logging in again tonight and same identical problem and as far as I know I have not done anything to my system to cause this.

I logged-in with my 2nd computer running XP 32 SP2 and it runs the game just fine.

Any suggestions? Or is this something I should call about and have someone check settings or issues with me while on the phone? This is very frustrating.

Greetings,

I would suggest disabling both voice chat and GPU shadows in the game options, assuming you have those enabled. Those are the 2 major features that were added recently and they might be having some issues with your system. If that doesn't work then we'll probably need to collect your system information. Check the sticky thread at the top of this subforum for instructions on how to generate your dxdiag/msinfo results. Specifically, I am looking for the first section of your DXdiag(up to sound driver section) and the last section of your msinfo(startup apps/running tasks).
