Ok I am a Conjy as some of you may know. I have a request (pre Mythical and possible after Mythical is obtained), but what I want is a way to have more than 2 specs other than having to pay for them. I have 4 possible pets I can use at the moment and each of them have arrised a need while lvling my conjy.

Mage Pet for DPS in a Group / Raid.

Scout Pet for DPS in Solo PVP.

Healing Pet for some tougher Solo / PvP.

Tank Pet for regular solo stuff.

Now I understand this is not a change to make for just the summoners. But it would be nice if you gave us a way to respec for these different occassions without having to pay plats over and over again to do it. I mean you do give us 4 possible pets to use, why not make it so we can use them at will without having to burn a hole in our wallets?

If they do that then they might as well give us unlimited AA points and let us fill up each tab. Not that I wouldn't mind; just saying..

For one when you are a different spec you would have to run all the way back to your house and click your AA mirror to respec in order to get that spec. Im sorry I dont know about you but I find that a waste of time especially if im in the middle of a raid or zone with other people.

Haveing all AA at once and being able to switch to different specs are totally two different things. You should think your replies through before you go posting them and cluttering up my thread.

Speaking as a Conjuror I brought up at Fan Faire at one of the panels that we have three pets but can only have 2 AA specs. And I asked "What are you going to do about it?"

They didn't give me an answer

I think what he's trying to say is that what would be the difference between letting you spec for each pet via an Achievement Mirror as opposed to having enough AA to just buy them all and again be specced for each of your 4 pets. The purpose of AA is to even further differentiate you character from those of the same class. Tailor your abilities to what you enjoy that class the most for. If you happen to be one of those that enjoy all the aspects rather than one in particular, well there's an old saying:

Jack of all trades, master of none.

I'm a Necromancer. I feel you on not being able to maximize the abilities of each of the 4 pets we were given (well 3 in my case - that Void Beast isn't worth my time). But life, even in a game, is full of decisions. Time to make some.

Good News: Once you get your Mythical, all other pets become obsolete. I use mine for solo tanking and dps as she has nearly the hp of my tank pet and hits harder than all 3 others combined. I still occasionally dust off my tank for difficult named fights (white and above TSO content) but more often than not opt for her to fill all rolls.

More Good News: Rumor has it that there will be a Tinkered Device in the upcoming expansion that is a portable version of the Mirror of Reflected Achievements.

Bad News: Once the new expansion comes out and we are forced to return to choosing a pet for any given situation, you'll be back to square one.

/shrug

Lord Xavulon - Arch Lich of Carnival of KhaosAntonia Bayle

I play a conjuror, but I can totally see the idea of not allowing this. You already get to choose two of them, AAs arent in the end supposed to be malleable quite so easily. Its a bit rough compared to some classes which probably only have 2 (or maybe in a few cases only one?) specs they might want to use I guess.

The problem is, some classes have more valid specs than others. My Warden? Doesn't need 3 specs. Troub? Doesn't need 3 specs. Conj? If they boost scout pet dps like they mentioned at FanFaire, then yes, 3 specs will be needed. Solo, group/raid AoE, and group/raid single target.

Why should some classes benefit 100% from 2 AA specs, while others have to [Removed for Content] themselves for some aspect of play because of a limitation of 2 specs?

Now, if they revamp the crap AAs for some classes *cough* Warden cures *cough* and make it so there are truly more than 2 worthwhile specs for every class, I would call it fair. But having a handful of classes have to make tough choices while the rest really have a choice between a good spec and a lame spec... that's not cool.

If they can't fix the crap AA s for some classes, I see nothing wrong with having more than 2 specs for other classes. Either that or consolidate AAs for summoners and other such classes so that they only need 2 decent specs. But really, what's the point of having whole lines of worthless AAs for some classes?

There is no reason not to allow more than 2 AA setups, except fear of customer confusion. Well I can tell you already customers are confused about the AA mirror because of the labeling of the button choices. When you use the mirror the first time, the option should be "Save Profile". From then on, the button should say "Swap Profile".

Since there are three content levels and playstyles, I'd be happy with the number changed to 2 specs on the mirror, or as it was when they launched them, allow 2 mirrors per house.

It makes sense to me that a class may want a solo, heroic, and raid spec saved.

I would love a portable tinkered AA mirror, or a veteran reward mirror that would let us save an extra spec or even better carry our mirror with us (with a decent-length timer to prevent abuse).

Thanks for clearing that up for them! I dont even know if they are going to take a look at my suggestion but its worth a try to post it anyway. I know you can have 2 AA mirrors but I dont think you can use both of them at the same time correct? Oh and for those of you that are against this idea b/c you think I shouldnt be able to utilize the full potential of my Conjuror I have this to say: Its not like I would be utilizing it all at the same time. It would be just like me paying to respec my class only it would be free instead of costing me so much money.

You can no longer have more than one mirror unfortunately. It lead to a bug where some people were able to have multiple specs saved, which was not the intent of the mirrors. Given that they could have just left it bugged if they were willing to have multiple specs saved, I'm guessing they won't be changing it anytime soon.

They really do need to permit an additional aa spec on the mirror. There hasn't been much attention to the issue mainly because practically no summoner uses the scout pet due to its "gimpness." Once that is remedied, one of our pets is still going to be gimped since you will not have an aa spec for that pet.

Sure, having aa choice is important and theoretically adds to the gameplay, but the reality is that there really isn't much choice. Go to any class board and there will be a post on what most agree to be the appropriate aa's to take depending on dps or tank specs. Effectively, there is no real choice to be made.
