Was wondering if anyone could give me advise on a DPS spec. I have about 50 or 60 AAs

You will probably want to check this thread (not far below yours on the first page?).

If you want a pure dps spec, I'll have to assume you are grouping, since soloing usually needs a mix of tank/dps.

Brawler Tab

If you like Crane Flock and depending on gear, you might look at this spec:

Wis 4-4-8-6-2 (for max aoe proc and Crane flock)

Agi 4-4-8 (for reuse speed)

Int 4-4-8 (for crit chance)

Then work towards: Str 4-4-5 (for double attack)

If you like Chi, you might look at this spec:

Str 4-8-8-2-2

Agi 4-4-8

Int 4-4-5 (alternative 4-4-8 )

Then work towards: Wis 4-4-8 (alternative 4-4-5)

Monk Tab

Left line (increases damage of combat arts)

Middle line (lowers reuse of combat arts... which is annoying in practice, but still more dps)

Will of the Heavens Enhancers (helps break out of some mez/fear/stun effects, so you can keep swinging)

Outward Calm Enhancer (can help prevent aoe damage, helping you stay alive and dpsing)

Nearly worthless, but Marginal improvements

Right line (lowers power cost, increases hit chance of combat arts... mostly unnecessary)

Tranquil Vision Enhancer (5% hate transfer is counter productive if you use it on a non-MT)

Mongoose Stance (it's ok, but requires 6 pts in the right line)

TSO Tab

The TSO tree has fairly obvious (and few) dps choices. I would take Sneering Assault and eventually Hidden Openings... just make sure to use them towards the end of a fight.

WOW! Nice info for group/DPS, you have anymore info on say a tank/solo spec?... Though I think the DPS one would be fine for soloing.. And I agree with Nearly worthless, but Marginal improvements

Right line (lowers power cost, increases hit chance of combat arts... mostly unnecessary)

Tranquil Vision Enhancer (5% hate transfer is counter productive if you use it on a non-MT)

Mongoose Stance (it's ok, but requires 6 pts in the right line)

Since I did put about 6 or 7 AAs into it... Finding it not really worth it

This thread has a fair bit of advice for tanking, including specs:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=453568

A solo spec is largely a matter of personal preference, and a good tank spec does not a good solo spec make, and vice versa. For instance, I'd rather have Chi when soloing named, but Crane Flock when tanking for a group instance, and probably Chi again for raid tanking (as if I've done any of that, except for a couple of seconds at the end of a fight after I hit Hidden Openings ). Too bad we can't have more than 2 profiles for the AA mirror.

I'd definitely take a look at the thread Vinka linked for tanking. Additionally, for some compiled tanking advice, check out my instance tanking guide.

For a solo spec, I'd probably do something like this:

Brawler Tab

See dps Chi alternate spec. Substitute Str 4-4-6-8-2 instead of Str 4-8-8-2-2.

Monk Tab

DPS Spec base

Tsunami enhancer

Mend Enhancer

Mitigation Enhancer

Body Like Mountain until you get 175 AA

At 175 AA, respec into the Stone Stance enhancer instead (Stone Stance is useless until you can put 5 pts in Mitigating Blows from the TSO tree, which is at 175 AA)

TSO Tab

Stance AAs

If you solo mostly in Offensive

Offensive Prowess (for haste and accuracy)

If you solo mostly in Defensive

Consummate Defender (for avoid; don't think it raises the mitigation bonus )

Aversion (and more avoid)

If you solo mostly in Combination stance

Aversion (for avoid)

Battle Hardening (reduces damage that you take)

Swinging Strike (dps)

Sneering Assault (another CA = more dps)

Deflecting Blow (for avoid)

Mitigating Blows (massive mit boost for 30 sec, 5th point removes stun from the stone stance)

Focused Followup (dps)

Bob and Weave (another Tsunami-like ability... can't have too many of those)

Hidden Openings (dps)

Bite of the Cobra (dps)

Mending Spirit (heal)

Other stuff you might want to play with:

Riposte Mastery - This is a dps AA that requires you to riposte a hit to increase your dps. I really can't see it being enough dps to bother with, but haven't confirmed that.

Inner Focus - mobs that hit you this hard, you probably aren't going to solo. Might work ok for a few nameds that are paper tigers.

Tactical Precision - A vital AA for group/raid, but I'm not sure that it's a large enough improvement for soloing, especially not if you solo mostly in offensive.

Thunderous Strike - Solo spec is about hitting the highlights IMO. This AA, while more dps, doesn't make my highlights list.

Again, this depends on gear and playstyle... this is just something that I might spec for soloing. With decent gear, it would be ok at tanking, and ok at dps, but not as good at either as a more focused spec.
