lag is 4-5 secs, bars are high red. Only one of my characters does this. Any zone. Logging in any other character (even on the same account) , and there is no issue. you can even run another eq2 session, and no lag on those, even in same zone/group. Router reset, computer reset, etc, have 0 effect. Logging in character to other computer, and problem moves with them. Tracert is clean. Help!

If you PM me the server and character name I'll copy it to my local machine and see if I experience any issues.

Greetings,

I understand that you have tried on more than one computer, but were both of those computers on the same network? If so, please try bypassing the router on that network so that you are plugged directly into the modem. Based on your description, a blocked port on the router seems like the most likely explanation. Bypassing it will tell us if it is the cause of the problem.

This is very odd... I resolved the issue... by deleting all config files related to my character name in the directory... But I still don't know what could possibly cause network lag and packet loss in there... the old files are backed up if it's of any interest to you.

Were you running any kind of custom user interface before removing those files?
