I've been playing this game for almost 5 years, but never saw this problem until a week or so ago. Sometimes, when I zone, the game will show the zoning art screen, and get stuck on "Receiving zone info". If I'm patient, it sometimes comes back after 2 or 3 minutes (yes, that long). If I click "Exit" and reenter the game, it'll say my server (Nagafen) is down, but my friend's sitting right next to me playing the game on the same server.*

Regardless of whether or not I pick my Nagafen character or one on another server, I get this dialog box that goes away so fast I've never been able to read it. It says something like "could not find" and maybe "please find" and then it goes away and the game exits. Next time that happens, I'm going to record it with my iPhone so that I can look at it frame by frame.

Anyway, has anyone else seen this? I have not seen this kind of problem with the other games I have on my system, nor have I had any network/router problems.

Windows XP SP2, 2GB RAM, Gigabit ethernet.

*Note: This happens whether or not I have someone on my network running the game at the same time.

A picture or description of the error message would certainly help if you can manage to get one. As a first step lets try removing any background applications that could be conflicting with the game. To disable background programs:1. Select the START button.2. Select RUN, then type in "msconfig" (for Vista, type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom of the Start Menu)3. Press OK4. Select the STARTUP tab.5. In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.

6. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again.
