I'm working my way through the Fabled Epic, and have come to a standstill on the Chardok portion.

Most walkthroughs state that this part can be soloed by FD flopping your way through the far reaches of Chardok, but I can't seem to get past one of the rooms. I don't remember the name, but there is a room with a wall switch, and the switch has two ^^^ guards on each side, with a named ^^^ right in front of it.

I tried to mez one of the mobs, and fear the other, but would always catch agro no matter what I tried. This might be doable if the named mob wasn't standing there, but he always seems to be there.

It took considerable effort to piece together a group that was willing to go into Chardok, but the group couldn't make it to the red gate after two frustrating hours (and lots of death). No one goes into that zone if they can help it.

Since it looks like I'll have to solo it, does anyone have any suggestions on getting past this room?

There are 2 ways to approach this if you are solo. 1 is by having alot of AA and using Impenetrable Will to keep you safe while you click something.

Another way is to maximize your usage of FD. The idea here is you want to engage all the mobs that woudl normally aggro you if you pulled the switch.. (Yes, all 3). You want to pull them around a bit, make sur eyou hit an AoE and hit them all. Then jump right toward the exact spot you need to hit the switch, and FD. Now as soon as you FD, IMMEDIATLEY hit X and stand up and then double click the switch. You should start hitting the switch while the 3 mobs are resetting. As soon as the switch is hit start running toward the wall (Hope you got the 3 books to activate the gloem). You will likely have to self heal and FD again as soon as it's up.

I did it the second method Crabbok listed there as I didn't have sufficient aa's when I was working on my fabled to have Impenetrable Will. Another word of advice is to pop Chi before you do it. This gets your FD cycle time at peak and also let's your other defensive abilities recycle faster in the even that it takes 2 or 3 tries. Jumpy boots are also your friend when solo flopping places. You jump and FD but still glide forward while "dead".

Well, I tried to do this solo, but it just didn't work out for me. I'm just not a very good bruiser. I was able to pop the door after many tries, but always died before being able to run through it.

A guildy was 6-boxing the queen camp one night and basically ran me through all the updates. Yay me and my awesome guildmates.

Then, another guild bruiser soloed blasted all the heroics needed for the Fabled. We didn't even need a healer. I still can't solo Karnor's and he was dropping level 84^^^ heroics like they were Blackburrow gnolls.
