I just reinstalled everything on my comp after hard drive crash. I got a new hard drive, everything is running fine except EQ2. I run Vista. I never had a problem before. It will patch fine then it gets to the. "play" button lit up when it's done with the patch. I click play, and it gets this weird loading bar type thing in the middle of the screen, it gets about 1/4 of the way in and then I get a client crash. I have run the full file scan several times and nothing...anyone have a problem like this, or any idea what it could be?

Thanks

If you haven't already, please run through the following steps for Vista compatibility;

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

I just ended up deleting the game, and re-installing through the station launcher and that worked fine. The admin stuff, and compatibility mode and service packs were all set properply, so I really have no idea what it could have been. Maybe just a bad install. Thanks for the suggestion.
