It seems like, currently, the ideal weapon delay is 2.5, and this is based on our mythic weapon speed as well as being able to cast, what seems to be the consensus, one CA between auto attacks. My question is: What about before the epic/mythic weapon? Is it unreasonable to be able to cast one CA between auto attacks in a 1.6 weapon delay? It doesn't seem like a difficult task, and there are heaps of weapons "designed for us," as monks, with that delay. With the cast time of .5 and the recovery of .5, I don't foresee a problem with sliding a CA in-between actual delay of 1.3 with my current gear/buffs. Am I looking at this the wrong way? And on a side note, searching for answers is a nightmare. You get conflicting results from posts people made in 2004. There really should be an archive for those older, and therefore irrelevant, posts.

The basic point is two weapons with the same delay.

When you are approaching 80 and want to get your fabled, it's then that you want to look for matching 2.5 weapons for the offhand.

Anyways, one of the things to note is at lower levels CA damage compared to auto attack damage is way higher, while it is good practice for when you cap to time your attacks it isn't as huge a factor.
