Okay,

I have posted about this issue twice now. No resolve. When I log into either my Level 80 warden, or level 80 dirge my comp locks up completly. So there is no crash log. These require hard restarts. I.e. hold the power button. Today it happened logging in, a second time when I opened my bags and it's happening all day today. I have been trouble shooting for four hours. I can make lvl 1 alts all day and get into game. But not onto my mains. Locks up at "Loading UI Resources". Ive deleted all the files, re loaded them, done everything I can think of. Any help would be great.

Greetings!

I can certainly try to help you here - can you relay what you've tried so far so we can work from there? Otherwise, we can certainly start on the top, though I'd imagine you've tried a number of things so far.

So heres what I have to do now to get in game...

Make a level 1 toon. Start on the isle. Zone to freeport. Go zone in a crafting instance 2 or 3 times. Set settings to extremely low. Camp. Log into main.

Happens when I camp in Moors, Call to Stonestair, and call to Guildhall, and just crashed on zone in to GFay using a druid portal, and again calling to Stonestair. Now happens when I open my bags...

Now it says I dont have features for exchage? [Removed for Content]?

I have deleted all the UI stuff shown in the other places on tech support.

I do use profit UI, running Crossfire. I check event viewer and nothing. The only toons it happens on is my Warden Sketch, and my dirge Alessana.

I've turned off muliti core, turned it on. Set every other setting in Display settings. If I'm being to vaugue on one ask me and I'll explain.

Are you using an SLi configuration?

Crossfire is the SLI equivilant. Just ATI's version. I've tried single card also in my troubleshooting fiasco.

Could you provide us with some basic computer information? Specifically, I'm looking for your RAM, CPU, Graphics card, and driver info. The first section of your DXdiag should contain what I am looking for.

A hard lock like the one you are referring to usually implies a driver or hardware issue. Did you update any drivers or change any hardware around the time it started happening?

Set it to not automatically join VOIP on loading? I had that issue a couple of times, went away when I disabled it. Just a thought, and a really easy one to try out.

Yeah I tried that one too Blood.

I will get the top half of my Dialog when I get home tonight.

I havn't updated drivers recently. Just the one on 7/20/2009 for my ATI cards. I let Windows install updates. This issue has happened long before that.

A run down of what I have if it helps as I don't have access to my PC at the moment-

Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit

4 Gigz OCZ Reaper Ram

2 Radeon HD 4850 Video Cards in Crossfire

AMD Phenom 2.6 Quad Core Black Edition

The program is installed in my (x86) Program Files. Is this something I might need to move to my regular Program Files? Is there a possibility of some drivers installed on (x86) and some in the normal file paths?

Greetings,

Please check your graphics card options and try disabling a couple of features. Specifically, I would advise disabling 'adaptive anti-aliasing'. There is also some kind of AI power management that you might want to disable, but I can not recall what they call it in the control panel.

Finally, I would advise disabling crossfire temporarily just to see whether or not that has an effect.

I have disabled Crossfire many times in my attempt to resolve this issue. I will try the adapative anti-aliasing. But in my opinion it has something to do with my UI. Why? I can make level 1 toons all day long with a fresh UI, and even load my character settings. I noticed something while doing this. Some windows are on the new characters window that arent on my mains or alts windows. Seems to happen usually after raid. The raid window moves a lot. Also bag placement changes, but it's the same profile, and I only have hard lock-ups during the Loading UI Resources load bar. I'll get a flash of the zone and then back to the Loading UI Resources and hard lock-up. Funny thing is is once I get in game and don't restart my comp or shut it down I don't have any issues at all. And there's nothing in event veiwer or anything. I've re-patched, I've deleted the UI's, I'm telling you I've done every thing I can think of and everything in these forums. I've even had a hard lock up from opening my bags, and when calling. Not to the Guild Hall, but the Call of the Overlord to Stonestair. There also seems to be a bugged window in the upper right above my pet window on my Conjurer. I mouse over that area and my cursor turns to the moveable one and I've hit F10 and tried to figure out what window it is, but if I even try and right click it nothing comes up. So if anything comes in on me from the upper right, I have to wait for it to clear that section of my window, but I make the alts and it's not there. Full file scans pick nothing strange up. Is there any kind of resouce to check UI's?
