My wife and I rolled during headstart as an Inquistor/Brigand duo (er, I suppose, priest/scout duo, lol!), but we stopped playing 4-6 months after release. I played again during during various eras, but she never did. She's now playing again on a limited basis, and we've been running our old duo again.

My real level is 47, but of course I mentor down to her level when we duo (she's 24 now). I'm currently setup Battle Cleric, and it's working ok, but I'm curious if there's a better setup to support this duo. She's a die-hard rogue from EQ1, and she will only play the Brigand as a rogue, so no suggesting she try any crazy Brigand-tanking setups.

Basically, I'll re-arrange my Inq to support this duo as best I can.

Not sure it's a good combo really, but it should work... until the brigand reaches your level, then you will probably have quite a bit of problems keeping agro as an Inq. As a Inq you have very few buttons to push to keep agro after the initial heal agro if you pre cast reactives.Unless you make a shadowknight (or some other fighter) the brigand will (and should) rip agro off you quite fast.So unless you want the brigand to spec for tanking, you will have to be the tank. For this I'd recommend the Shadowknight. The strat would be to kill mobs faster then they kill you and your Brigand. As far as AAs for the Inq, Battle Cleric with the CAs, Steadfast so you won't be interupted when casting, Melee crit, Heal crit and TSO tree, anything you feel would make the duo better.Good luck.

Just make sure she uses the detaunt skills of the brigand that should help with your lack of taunts. What probally should be done is a let the mob switch between both, so neither takes all the damage you can heal her and she can back stab. I cannot help with set up since I am only a level 27 inqusitor but i do have a level 67 brigand.

Just to report back, this setup is working out pretty well as a duo. She takes aggro sometimes, usually when she forgets to use her detaunt skill(s) (or doesn't care, hehe), but even when that happens it's no big deal. Plus, my INQ puts out decent damage, and having healing/buffs is very nice.

Reporting back again - duo STILL working great. She's closing in on levels, and once she hit 42 we got her into a full MC set (and FBSS), and basically she rides the edge of taking aggro most fights but I can usually still keep it - though even when I can't it's not like it matters since I'm a healer anyway.

It's a fun duo to run, too!

I 2boxed a warden/brig setup before I switched to pvp servers. I got up to level 65 and was able to handle most group content pretty easily. My brig wasn't tank specced either. I imagine with a inquiz it would be even better. I would def say stick with the battle cleric spec and let the brig tank most of the time. If you have too many mobs on you it can be difficult to get off those slow casting reactives : D. And the dps you can both put out should make them tremble in thier boots!

Well..IMO off from what I read from your post It really depends what YOU want to do. I mean, I always thought Inq really isn't the best duo for a brig, especially since you're melee as well. Don't even think about respecing heal/spell dmg, because for any inq that does that really doesn't know how to play his/her class. If you want to be "the" healer, you probably want to betray to a Templar to support your duo with lots of healing. An inq just won't be able to hold off a lot of mobs, and since you're melee it will be a huge disadvantage in ur survivability. Since a temp is just heal..heal..heal you will probably do better with one.

Again it really is on what you want to do, you could stay INQ and im sure you can turn the duo into a great direction, but it all depends.

Just my 2cp..
