Loading ui resources

<p>For the past couple of months I get stuck on the "loading ui" resources section of logging in or zoning.  It will eventually click and move on but it takes much longer than it ever used to.  I should also point out that I usually get kicked out of vent during this time.  Once again these are things that never used to happen but have become very frustrating since I rejoined the game after a few months away.  I just had At&t out and my connection has never been stronger.  Please help.  Thanks.</p>

<p>Just at a glance, I'd go with a possible UI corruption or interference from background applications, visible or otherwise. Can you try both of these out?</p><p>--</p><p>You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.iniTo do this, please follow these directions:1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the default directory in: C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II2. Click on MY COMPUTER and then proceed into local disk C:3. Navigate your way to the default directory, or your chosen installation directory.4. Next look for any files explained above and delete them. 5. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.If deleting these files does not resolve your issue, you can restore your backed up files and folders and retain your hotkeys, contact lists, and display settings.</p><p>--</p><p>To disable background programs:1. Select the START button.2. Select RUN, then type in "msconfig" (for Vista, type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom of the Start Menu)3. Press OK4. Select the STARTUP tab.5. In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.6.
