Can I ask why these collections - of which there seem to be a never ending stream of them - reward items that are lower in quality than the items you get anyway just being in the instance?

Why not just award void shards? Or at least make shards one of the reward choices instead of a useless item that will be sold 99.9% of the time to the merchant?

I've run Deep Forge countless times and have yet to finish any of the collections in there without using the broker.

Can this be looked at?

Actally, the items really aren't that bad. I mean, yeah, they don't have any blue stats, and if some do it's nothing great, but what most of the collection rewards do have, is decent stats and GREAT resists. Besides all that, the collections are great ways to rack up AA and xp, there really isn't much more you could ask for. What are you looking for exactly? Fabled lootz? Well that's not gonna happen, and Fabled items are really the only alternative if you wanted something better then what drops in the zones b/c frankly, all the TSO zones have some damned nice Legendaries in em.

I think the rewards are fine really, between the nice resist items and all that sweet AA and xp (if you haven't hit 80 yet) are good enough for me..

Why did I ever bother doing it!

It doesn't have to be fabled loot. But some more useful rewards would be appropriate to be honest.

Seeing the vast amount of collections in this game. I really get the feeling that a lot of them still contain placeholders or something. *sigh*

Jer

I dont think collections, on the whole, are intended to be a major part of the loot structure. They are a nice extra thing to do for those who enjoy the collecting, a nice extra money maker for the rest. And they do give some AA and experience for those who like to hunt every bit out.

This allows blue collection rewards to be itemized much higher than they currently are, to the point where an item from a blue collection reward could rival a rare drop from the instance that the collection is found in.

Meh, the collections are good for gettin your alt to 30 in a few minutes, other than that their pretty worthless aside from a few that give some decent rewards.

If they gave a decent amount of AA things would be different but that 2% isn't exactly makin me want to finish those things.

Not more. Whole [Removed for Content] game is practically no trade as it is.

The idea of no-trade is that the item can be itemized higher, which translates directly as better items.

While I agree that the end game has too much no-trade loot, top quality items should always be no trade (they should also be rare).

Next expansion, which is when I'd like to see blue collections made no-trade, along with better rewards, I'd also like to see the lower 60% of legendary heroic instance loot tradeable, but with a very noticable gap between these items and the rarer, better items that are no-trade (which includes all heroic instance fabled items).

I'd also like to see about 25% of raid loot made tradeable.
