I've recently tried installing patches for SWG, EQ, and EQII...the estimated download times are starting around 8+ hours but keep climbing and climbing...the longer I d/l the patch, the longer it climbs...even up to 400+ hours. I've tested my speeds and spoke with my ISP, and there doesn't seem to be anything on my end wrong.

I can install WoW and patch it in under 3 hours, so I'm starting to wonder if it's Sony's servers. Would love to play one of these games again, but it's just not happening. At this rate I'll be done just in time for CHRISTmas.

Is there a place to manually d/l the patches? I would appreciate any help.

What patcher are you running, if you are running the new station launcher what version is it?

2. what is your connection speed down and up? EQ2 by itself can run up to 11GB for a full install

3. the new launcher is available at

http://launcher.station.sony.com/

4. you can run some speed tests and port verification here

http://forums.station.sony.com/stat..._id=11500013586

This fix, I've found, also helps download speeds as the Station Launcher's progress can get bogged down by other programs, visible or otherwise. Can you give this a try so Windows only starts with the programs necessary to run efficiently?

1. Select the START button.2. Select RUN, then type in "msconfig" (for Vista, type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom of the Start Menu)3. Press OK4. Select the STARTUP tab.5. In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.6. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again.

Thanks for the reply! I have what I believe is a router/modem hybrid. My phone line goes directly into the modem/router and my ethernet cable comes out of that same router/modem and directly into my computer. This router/modem feeds 3 computers. I've tried d/ling and installing EQ on one of the computers and EQ2 on the other. When I try and update the game content it's never at the same time. I've tried them separately, and they do the same thing.
