New computer; Ridiculous update time

<p>Yesterday I got a brand new PC with Windows 64 bit. I installed station launcher, ran it (as admin, of course) and when I tried to update a game, it would take an entire 10 minutes to gain a single percentage. This worries me, considering that a friend of mine with more or less the same computer, updated his games within an hour and a half. Is there something I'm doing wrong?</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>The most common cause of a slow download would be a router with a blocked port.  If you are using a router then I would advise bypassing it temporarily so that your computer is plugged directly into the modem.  If you are able to download with a normal speed at that point then we will know that the router is the problem and we can get it set up for port forwarding.  Let me know if you have any questions.</p>
