Hello,

My fiance's laptop is having issues running this game. She has Vista 32, an ati card, up-to-date drivers, the works. I've tried the fixes suggested on other threads (disable low mem mode in the ini and the enable anti aliasing and running it straight from the gpu control panel) neither have worked.

Here's my best description of the problem, the graphics blur when you zoom out from your character, but if you zoom in a bit they seem fine. The UI is not blurring at all like some people are getting. I've tweaked all the graphics settings and played around with her gpu panel and nothing has fixed the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Try Options > Display - somewhere in there is a slider for triangle density. That might be the issue.

Does it start off this way or happen midway through game play?

If it happens midway it may be an overheatting problem caused by the cooling fan being covered on the bottom of the laptop.

It's this way from the start, and we have a cooling pad / fan under it already.

Greetings,

In your settings, check under Display > Model Detail. What do you have 'high detail characters' and 'low detail characters' set to? If they're low, try increasing both. Also, you may want to increase 'complex shader distance' under the performance section.

They're both on High and the distance is at max.

Any chance that you could post some screen shots so that we can see what you are seeing, the non-blury and the blury. Also, has this been an issue since you installed the game, or did it just pop up?

Indeed. Some screenshots should assist us further - please place them here when you can!

Also, please do not bump threads unless you're adding new information. This thread was in the first 5 posts every time you bumped it and there's no reason to do that.

Well the problem seems to have fixed itself. Our conclusion is that the blurry graphics were just for her on a trial account, the night we upgraded her account to full access her graphics became clear and perfect. Very weird, but this seems to have done it. Thanks for all your help anyways!

Do you know what link you used to download the trial?

Hi all!

I think im sharing the same unfortunate situation with the user above. I too downloaded the trial version and playing it now, i got the same strage blurring effect and jagged details on the characters even though i maxed the all options.

Than I searched the forums a bit, and tried the "Anti Aliasing(AA)" tweak on the ini. file, graphs gone especially shiny and normal all of a sudden! Tech staff need to be warned about this strange "trial"(?) graph glitch, and they have to add the AA-AF option embedded on the graph options.

I have heard reports of the issue but I haven't been able to recreate it and I don't have a reference picture at the moment. If you could post a picture of the issue then I would really appreciate it.
