I recently got to level 80 with my brig. I've been running shards since lvl 75 and thus already have 4 peices of T1 shard armor and 2 peices of T2 armor.

I've yet to get my fabled, but I'm working on it. I am also in the process of upgrading all my CAs to "Expert" at the least. (all of them are currently Adept or better)

I have 134AAs, have gone down the STR and AGI tree in Rouge; the Durations tree in Brigand (I'm also working on maxing the trigger chance of Amazing Reflexes). In the shadows line I have gotten as far as I can with my limited # of AAs and am working on getting to 170 so I can start down final line.

As far as poisons go... I use Vit Breach for soloing, Caustic for groups/raids along with Turgur, Gracelessness and Ignorant Bliss when I'm having agro problems.

I have been focusing almost exclusively on STR with my stats and have paid little attention my INT...

So getting down to business...

My solo DPS averages 3k-3.5k

My Group/Raid DPS averages ~2.5k

I'm pretty sure that I play the class properly but it seems that I'm near the lower end of the parse.

Are there any more experienced brigands out there that can help me out? I'm sure that getting all T3 armor and my Myth will improve my DPS. But for now are my parses respectable given my gear/aas?

Thanks,

Lofger

It's mostly about autoattack timing...I forget the exact numbers, but it's somewhere in the realm of 50-60% of your dps comes from autoattacks. So, everytime you interrupt an aa with a ca...you lose dps..

Increasing int thru adornments, and some gear is a direct benefit, to your dps ( poison damage increase) Im not sure what yer STR is currently at , but there is a soft and a hard cap to it ( at least there was when I used to study dps ).

Again I dont remember the numbers, but i thought it was something like 900 soft cap ( diminishing returns after 900 ) and 1200 hard cap. ( you should research the actual numbers, been too long since I looked for them ).

My point being, let's say yer STR is 1000, you may wanna opt for some int gears/adorn, versus any more STR.

But, the timing of AA's is the real key, download ACT, set it up to "ding" when it's AA time. More or less tho ( discounting speed buffs, jcap etc..) the sequence is CA CA pause AA, CA CA pause AA...rinse and repeat, get yer mit debuffs on the mob early, and yer group/raid dps should be 4 k ish easily

Good luck and have fun

Awesome.

I had no idea I should be pausing for aa lol. I've been chaining CAs like its my job and then waiting for them to recharge and doing it all over again.

I'm going to set ACT to ding today and see how it goes

Thanks so much for the info,

Lofger
