Im wondering what the best spell/ability order is for DPS and for Tanking (agro control)

Im not using a specific order right now and have the feeling I can optimize my DPS in both situations if I would. Are you using pre-defined (in your hotbar) orders? Care to share them?

There's not really a hard and fast rotation that you absolutely need to stick to, but as a general rule I start with:

1. Righteousness2. Swift Attack3. Faithful Cry4. Holy Strike

I tend to try and avoid leading off right away with Faithful Cry, preferring for other classes to get in some debuffs first (although that's situational, given it's large range, it can be useful for pulling). You want to use Righteousness and Swift Attack when available, since they provide a divine damage debuff and haste buff, respectively.

If you're pulling a group of mobs, then Decree and Ancient Wrath are good starters, along with Doom Judgement to buff strip the encounter. Both Judgement (ST) and Decree (AE) have interrupt components, so they're also good to use near the start of a fight to short-circuit any nasty spells that mobs may throw out on the pull.

However, all that said, the biggest portion of your damage is going to come from autoattack, so you want to make sure that you're timing your attacks correctly. Using long-casting spells or CAs at the wrong time that delay your autoattacks is the biggest culprit when it comes maximizing your DPS. There's an attack bar mod that's available (also built into ProfitUI), and ACT can also be configured to help you time your autoattacks. Basically, you want to get into a rhythm that's something like:

Spell / Combat ArtSpell / Combat ArtAutoattackSpell / Combat ArtSpell / Combat ArtAutoattack

The actual pacing of all this depends on your weapon speed, but if you have the Truth of Marr (6.0s delay) then you shouldn't have any trouble at all. Just remember to keep the mob debuffed against divine damage using your AE taunt, and make sure you're hitting Swift Attack every time it comes up to buff your haste.

Edit: Althought not specific to CA rotation, I'd point out that to increase DPS, you also want to try and maximize your melee crit, followed by your double attack bonus. In terms of a DPS spec, the AGI line with 8 points in Trample will give you 40% AE autoattack, and that's also something that you definitely want.

But I just installed ProfitUI with the AutoAttack timer and that made me wonder about my spell order... Apparently Im doing something different since im using the UI, cause all of a sudden my DPS is down. Still not sure why, but the UI and my hotbars is all that changed..
