Over the last 4 hours I have been raiding and I've been going though these huge lag spikes. They would last between 20-40 seconds and the mobs and their health bars would stop moving as well as the people around, except me. spells and CAs could be pressed but nothing would happen. Then when the spike ended, it fast forwarded everything that happened in those 40 seconds in about 2 seconds til it caught up. it would go in 1-2 minute intervals and it seemed to happen to 2 guildies as well, they would spike at exactly the same time as me (we spoke over vent) we rebooted the games and computers to no avail. I asked in the general chat channel and it seems to be happening to a lot of people as well. They've rebooted but nothing. It's pretty aggravating to not be able to do anything due to this, 20 seconds of being unavailable at random every minute or so? I can't possibly group or raid like that. Any help would definitely be appreciated.

Staccato,

Befallen Server

My wife and I experienced the same exact problem on Befallen starting around 8pm CST on 7/26/2009. Many other members of our guild logged because of this problem. In game voice chat worked during these lag spikes but game play was non-existant.

I am 100% certain that this is not a network problem on my end. No other internet services were affected. Only gameplay in EQ.

Aphac

Hmm - I'll check in with our operations department - I'm sure they noticed some troubles around those times but I'd like to get word from them to see if it's since been resolved.

Apart from the usual lag on AB, we are also getting ghosts of characters that are actually bugging the players out. Go to South Qeynos and you will find a handful of people that have been there for days, standing in the same spot...but they are not actually there. My buddy just moved to a new guild with me; you can still see his character in our original guild sitting in Kelethin.

I'll certainly report that twilight-zone-ish activity there.

We see the lag spikes occurring, but we believe it was becaused by a specific datacenter that was routing data to our servers. I'd say as much as I was playing City of Heroes around the same time last night and was recieving Lag Spikes very similar to what you're all mentioning currently.

Coincidence? Possible. But the timing seems too perfect. *Brandishes giant magnifying glass*

I encourage you to see the example I speak of. Go to South Qeynos near Qeynos Harbor on Antonia Bayle, you will see a few people such as Garrity, Psykotic etc standing around near the 5 room homes there. Do a /who though and they may not even be online, much less actually in the zone. Psykotic is in my guild and has actually had roll back issues repeatedly. Maybe this is related?

Regrettably I don't have the power of, say, a GM to head on over there and check thoroughly. I will attempt to run a low level character that way to see what you're referring to though.
