Repeated Crash 1 minute in game

<p>I am running a windows vista and just created a Kerran Monk. Not even 1 minuted in my game crashes to my desktop. I don't know what is going on, i have multi-core support disabled but that doesn't seem to help.</p>

<p>As a test, I'd recommend placing the game's graphics in 'Extreme Performance' mode just temporarily and see if that makes a difference with your crashing. It will certainly help narrow it down should your crashing persist or stop outright. Let us know!</p>

<p>i am having this exact same problem, only i've been playing for almost a week and this just started happening today.  my character is in the city of gorowyn near the broker.  i can't interact with anything for the minute i'm in and when it crashes, it tries different login servers.  again, this didn't happen until today and i haven't changed any of my computer's settings.</p>

<p>dcampbelltnx: I'm not entirely sure it's the same issue as Tsunadi hadn't mentioned being unable to interact within anything for that minute, but it might be - It's tough to say without further information!</p><p>Your situation does sound like a network connection problem just off of what you've explained so far - have you been able to try setting port forwarding up within your router for EQ2?</p>

<p>i set up port forwarding according to the instructions on portforwarding.com, and i'm still having the same thing happen.  although i was playing just fine for a few days without having changed anything.  this is getting very annoying.</p>

<p>Could also attempt to disable shadows and Voice chat in the game options, one at a time, as they've been the cause of some problems in the past month? It will help to further pinpoint where your issue lies!</p>

<p>This definitely sounds like a connection issue related to a firewall/router.  You mentioned that you tried port forwarding but have you tried simply bypassing the router?  Try plugging your computer directly into the modem instead of going through the router first.  That will tell us whether or not the router is part of the problem.</p><p>If you are running a firewall then please open the exception list for that firewall.  Delete any entries for EQ2, Everquest2, or launchpad.  Then make sure to run as administrator the next time you start the game and it should ask you to allow or deny.  Select 'allow' whenever prompted and that should refresh the game's firewall entries.</p>
