I wish they would add 1000"base" - 1500"max" to the damage, and change the stun to a Stiffle that lasts 5 seconds. I ask this since the damage that this ability can do is possably up to 8, maybe 9000. Now I don't know about the rest of the brigands out there, but my auto attack from one interval can range from 3k - 6k. Thats self-buffed, w/o DA and Damage procs from gear.

Getting to my point is that there is no reason at all to use this ability beyond tanking, and that for me would be a last ditch effort to save the group from Agression loss. The damage given up for the risk involved is to low, not to mention, that theres a Epic Fail if the tank decides to not let you get hit. Gasp! An Epic Fail indeed, since your stunded for 9 seconds with the ability to stand and watch. Nothing else but to watch....Stand... watch..so..me..m...or...yaw...n.

I dont want this ability taken away, just updated, changed, modified to be more usefull. Heck, i dont even solo with this skill.

What do you other Brigands think?

Well to be honest this skill has saved 2 groups that I've been in. Although i use it as a last resort this is a good skill to use if... your group is wiped, or the healer has gotten aggro. Its a good skill it shouldnt be changed or taken away as it isn't a skill we use alot.

"I swear next one to say Shenanigans is getting pistol whiped!" Rofl

I've been playing a thief in FFXI and their trick attack got me thinking it would be kinda cool if a class in eq2 did something similar.

Was thinking maybe it would be cool if shenanigans was a straight damage attack with an aggro dump to your target. So, it does damage, places you into stealth, reduces your threat, and transfers 20% (or whatever) of your last 7 seconds of threat accumulated to your target. Use it after a dispatch/backstab/double up chain or whatever. Would make the CA suck less, and give brigands more utility.

Just a thought.

You do know if it fails for whatever reason, you can cancel it, to get back to swingin.

Think of it as Rescue on a 1 minute recast timer, not a damage hit. The ability to grab aggro from anyone instantly, then use any of 3 positional hate drops to lose it, is not a bad thing.

It's a utility skill. Not a skill you'll use every fight, but thanks to the reuse it's available a lot faster than rescue. Between Shenanigans, Appeal for mercy, Hideaway and Evasive Maneuvers, we brigands have a lot more control over the hate list than most classes. Don't ignore those just because they aren't damage dealing combat arts.
