Me and my wife both have the exact same setup, tower-wise :

ASUS M3A78 Motherboard

NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 Video Card

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.9ghz

Rosewill Powersupply

4 Gigs of Ram (cant remember the speed)

We both have Windows Live One Care installed for anti-virus and maintenance (I have tried dsiabling firewall, it seems to help but only for a short time. Then, back to lag)

Her computer runs EQ2 almost perfectly, while mine lags after only a few minutes of gameplay. I was just wondering if there were any troubleshooting methods I can use to diagnose my lag problem.

Were they custom built? Make sure the lagging computer has all fans working properly. If they really are the same, it sounds to me like an overheating issue. Download Speedfan from download.com and post your temps on both computers.

Did you notice the issue?

Laggy computer:

Core: 84c

Non-Laggy:

Core: 52c

Try taking off the side of the case and putting a box fan or something on it to start. 84c is fairly high, and could most definitely be the cause of your lag. Check all your fans to make sure they are working properly. Also make sure you have the extra power cable hooked up to your video card. Can't remember the name of it, but you'll see the plug on the side of the card.
