My m8s often ask me about heals and stuff, and I always tell them, well, m8s, if you wanna go hardcore, u gotta step up, u know. edit: All rite, I got lotsa private messages here on flames from peeps saying thank you and how much I helped them with there playstyle. Well, peeps also asked me to give em some more advise, so I'll enhance this post a bit. So I've dinged 80 yesterday while solo healing RE2, and my m8s ask me wow, how can u solo heal that at 79, and I tell my m8s a lot of stuff, but my m8s say man, put that on flames, maybe some peeps learn some off that. Well, so I think u guys could profit a little. I'll put down some of the stuff I learned in the game in the last coupla years. Cuz if u guys wanna go hardcore some day, u gotta step up and know bout stuff. Every hardcore healer knows that. Well, let's get started with spells. Repent Well, I got this new one at 80, and I been testing it a bit and mastered it in a coupla hours. It's pritty ez, a bit like warden spell Hypernation. U cast it, and a coupla seconds later, it heals ur tank. It's random when it procs, so it's a bit hard to use, but I mastered it in a coupla hours. Not very useful tho. Proc is random from 1 second to 30 seconds. Like the other lotto heal. U know, my m8s casted this spell whenver it was up, but I tell them how it works, and they LOLd because it was so ez and they didnt figure out earlier. Reactives Lotsa templars heal with their reactives, like my m8s, but then they cant solo heal re2, so I tell them how reactives work. Trouble with reactives is, their REACTIVE. Means u need to cast it just b4 the tank gets hurt. Well, this is not ez, that's why most hardcore healers dont really use it. Like, if ur tank is on 50% health, and u cast a reactive, nothing happens. But if u cast it in the same frame a mob hits ur tank, he gets healed for like 500. Heals Cuz Repent and reactives dont heal that much, I use mostly heals to keep my tank up. They're are about 3 heals, but the trick is that u should use ur T7 heals cuz their more efficient. My m8s often run out of power cuz they spam there T8 heals, but in reality ur T7 heals are more powerful. Now I can solo heal RE2 just with my T7 heals, but my m8s cant, so I got some more tips about the other templar spells. Shield Allay Now a lot of people with no clue keep talking about Shield Allay, even some hardcore raiders. My m8s just cast this on the tank in RE2, and then they wander why they get aggro and die! Well, this is how it works: you intercept 6/10 of the damage on the tank. That's almost the half! And in ROK, mobs hit [Removed for Content] hard. The only way I use Shield Allay on the tank is on ez mobs in COA, beccause the trick is, I cast my stoneskin on myself so I don't get hit all the time. Well, if u wanna go all out on Shield Allay, make sure u got a second healer to heal u, and maximize ur defense and parry skills, and always wear the best plate armor u can find. Cures This is the more advanced stuff now. Sometimes ur tank gets cursed, but u cant see that, only the tank can. Now not every tank is very good and has a macro to tell his healer he is cursed. So what I do is I spam my cure spell every 5s to keep my tank nice and clean. My m8s asked me what level this spell is, and I telld them level 6. Well they LOLd becuz they said a level 6 spell is stupid to cast in RE2 when the mobs are level 83, but I told them hardcore healers cast it even more often. Hotbars Lotsa people have like 3 or even 4 hotbars open, lol. Even some of my m8s. Well, I keep 1 hotbar for my buffs so I can buff fast, and the rest of my spells I cast out of my knowledge book. Cuz if u cant see the tank, u cant heal him! I see a lot of healer in pick up groups typing in group chat LOS LOS, and I usually answer with LOL LOL cuz if they just used less hotbars, they wouldnt have no issue with that. Parseing Many peeps don't know what parseing is. But if u wanna go hardcore, u really need to learn this stuff. I always parse and give my m8s they're dps parse, but they don't have no clue how it works. Well, I use ACT. That means Advanced Content Tracker. This gadget reads ur chat, but dont worry, it's save. I used a pecket sniffer to check if it sends ur private chat to some hacker website, but it doesn't, so u can use it. So this gadget has all the infoz u could want, like heals and dps and stuff. U can even check what u healed 4! Or u can check AOEs to know they're name. This is what hardcore raiders use all the time. I havent raided yet, but I know how raiding works. I have a m8 in a hardcore raiding guild, and he tells me m8, hardcore raiding is 50% pure concentration 50% SKILLZ and 50% checking ur parser. Cuz these dudes check there parser all the time they know whats going on! Welll here's my parse from RE2 when I solo healed it at 79. U can see how my healz went off a lot. When I dinged 80, I scribed the Repent app1 I had in my bagz. Cuz being prepared is like 80% of being successful. Repent is better than I expected, and I found out another FACT about it LOL. Pritty sure not many peeps know this. U remember like I said it procs on a random timer from 1 to 30 seconds? Repent blocks all melee damage on the MT until it procs! Now this is quite overpowered LOL. A bit like god mode. I am currently investingating how u can make Repent proc later so u can keep ur tank invulnarable longer, and I'm gonna tell u peeps when I find something. Gear Gear is very important for healers of course. Ur tanks gear is pritty important, but a healers's gear even more so. Often I see peeps with no clue whatsoeva runnign around with gear which don't even have WISDOM on it! LOL. Well, WISDOM is a healers primary statistic. It's like INTELIGENCE for mages, or AGILTY for scouts. U should pick each item based on how many WISDOM is on it. Second is power, than comes resists. Well when I solo heal RE2 and I see some wizard with like 3000 DIVINE resists, LOL, I make a bet with my m8s how many times he goes down. Apart from that, u should always wear plate armor. Becuz that gives u MITIGATION. If ur not wearing all plate, u just get one shotted all the time in RE2. To help ur MIT, u should also wear a shield. A good shield like the Sarnak Hide Buckler that almost all hardcore raiders use, can boost ur MIT by 40% or 45%. WISDOM Oh yea, another FACT about WISDOM that most peeps dont know is that it increases ur healz. Like, most peeps just think it gives u more power, but the biggest boost goes to the healz. This is tricky to calculate, but I'll give u an example. From 500-600 WIS, u get 5% of ur WIS added to ur healz. From 600-700 WIS, u get 6%. And so on. So if u have like 550 WIS, u take ur WIS and then divide it by 20. Then u add that to ur healz. That's what u get. Why 20? Cuz it's the reciproke of 5%. Well, my m8s sure didnt have this stuff in school, so I xplained them. If u wanna know what the value is for 6%, 7% and so on, u need a reciproke table. U can find them on the internet ez with google. All rite, thats it from me. If u got any questions, if u want any advise or u wanna go hardcore and need some hints, just throw me a tell in game or whatever.

Okay that was hilarious. It took me a while (literally until I got to the Hotbar section!) before I realized that this post was meant as a joke, and then I reread the whole thing and enjoyed it much more.

Thanks!

My favorite time was once in Deep Forge, with both a dirge and troubador in the group, and with illusionist TC on me as solo healer. Wow I felt uberlicious!

Especially if another healer gets stifled, let the mofo stay that way while your HPS goes even higher. You'll be surprised at how much healing you get off before everyone wipes, especially if you precast Repent on yourself.
