Problem with the game, please help

<p>ello folks-</p><p>I am new to EQ2, just installed and patched it (a bundle pack that had EQ2 up to Rise of Kunark)</p><p>It's completely done updating but the update button is greyed out (i think I read it should change to PLAY. and the screen says that 'Character Select Unavailable'</p><p>Any help at all would be great.</p><p>Thanks</p>

<p>It will say "Character Select Unavailable" until you log in and make a character the first time (afterwhich it will give you the option of logging in either to the character select screen or directly to your character).</p><p>As for it not changing to Play... close the patcher and run it again. Sometimes it has issues when you're patching a lot, run it a few times (and let it patch anything it needs to each time) and it should finish up.</p>
