Okay....so fresh from some success in helping to get SoE EQ2 moving into the 3D monitor/display world (you da man Rothgar!!), I have my next Quixotic challenge: EQ2 and Head Tracking.

If you haven't seen this technology, here is a link: http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/

Basically, the system uses a "radar" to follow where your head position is in real time and then translates this information into game response. For example, if EQ2 were enabled with this technology, you could turn your head to the left and the view on the monitor would shift to show you an image of whats on the left of you. Words really don't do this system justice....so check the link!

I tried a demo of some games and this technology is absolutely wild!!!

Can you imagine EQ2 extending over three monitors

in 3D

then add the TrackIR5 to the system........words fail me......lol

So COME ON SoE lets get EQ2 into the hands-free world!!!

((ROTHGAR, ROTHGAR, ROTHGAR))

btw here is the link for devs to contact the Natural Point devs:

http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir...orm=development

I'm picturing a room. I am sitting there in a comfortable chair in front of an HDTV with full surround sound. I'm wearing 3d glasses, funky headgear that tracks my head movement, and a fan simulating wind effects.

...and it is awesome

(at least until a picture leaks with me wearing all of that gear)
