Basically I'm working on a Linux install, don't stop reading.. this isn't related to Linux.

Just installing EQ2 on a Windows System and stealing the files, only problem is the HDD on this PC is 30gb... so I hooked up my external drive and copied the install to it but I don't know how to re-aim the patcher, it just keeps trying to patch my C-Drive.... anyone know how I can toggle this without reinstalling?

Also, how big is your EQ2 folder?

You don't need to reaim the patcher. The patcher patches to whatever folder it is in. I am guessing you need to change the parameters of your shortcut, or just delete the old shortcut and create a new one from the external drive. EQ2 doesn't really store registry files to say where to patch.

Also I think my eq2 is about 12-13gb

(sigh) .. more than enough to drive a new player away. why would they not host the newest version of their own software ..
